Most people landing on a CM Window search aren’t trying to figure out how to file, they’ve already filed and want to know what happened next. So that’s where this one starts.

Track Your CM Window Status First

If you’ve already registered a grievance and just want an update, this is the fastest path, no need to read the filing steps below at all.

  1. Go to the Track Grievance page.
  2. Enter your grievance registration number (sent to you by SMS when you filed).
  3. Enter your registered mobile number.
  4. Enter the 5-digit security code shown, then submit to view status.

What is CM Window?

CM Window is Haryana’s grievance redressal and monitoring system, running since 25 December 2014 across every district and department in the state. Grievances can be registered at CM Window counters, and once submitted, the complainant receives an SMS with a registration number used to track the case afterward. A separate NRI Grievance option and a Registration Slip lookup are also available on the portal for non-resident citizens and repeat visits.

How to File a Grievance

  1. Visit a CM Window counter, available at every District e-Disha Kendra and Sub-Division office, or at the CM’s residence/office and the Haryana Secretariat (Sector-1, Chandigarh).
  2. Provide your name, contact details, address, and a clear description of the grievance, including the concerned department.
  3. Attach supporting documents or evidence if you have any.
  4. Note the registration number sent to you by SMS after submission, this is what you’ll use to track status later.

A CM Window mobile app is also available (Android and iOS) for registering and tracking grievances without visiting a counter in person.

What is an ATR (Action Taken Report)?

An ATR is the department’s official record of what action was taken on a specific grievance. If you’ve seen “ATR” mentioned alongside your CM Window complaint, it refers to this report, submitted by the concerned department once they’ve acted on the case, and is what ultimately determines whether your grievance is marked resolved.

Other Ways to Reach CM Window

  • By phone: 0172-3322500, the CM Grievances Redressal Cell office.
  • By email: cmgrievanceshry@gmail.com
  • In person: any CM Window counter at a District (DC office) or Sub-Division (SDM office), or at the CM’s residence/office and the Haryana Secretariat (4th Floor, Sector-1, Chandigarh).
  • Note: the login form on the official homepage is for departmental officers, not citizens. Citizens don’t need to log in to file, use a counter, the app, or the official complaint process instead; Track Grievance, NRI Grievance, CPGRAMS, and Registration Slip each have their own tab on the same page.
  • WhatsApp: we could not verify an official government WhatsApp number for CM Window. Some third-party apps advertise their own WhatsApp channels for “help,” but these are not the government’s own line, stick to the official portal, phone, or in-person counters instead.
